FOTOGRAFISKA

Stockholm, Sweden

Client: Fotografiska

Location: Stockholm, Sweden

Status: Completed

In 2010 Fotografiska, one of the world’s largest photography museums, opened its doors to the public. Spanning 6,500 m², the museum houses exhibition halls, a gallery, education facilities, a restaurant, and a bar. Campus was selected to design key spaces, including the museum shop, reception, and top-floor restaurant and bar, to create a strong spatial identity.

The design concept drew inspiration from photographic aesthetics, focusing on themes of cutting planes and reflections. Polished steel furniture reflects light in varied ways, adding a dynamic visual effect. Each piece is sculpturally designed to complement the objects on display, giving the museum a distinctive visual language. The material palette is minimalist, with carefully processed steel surfaces contributing to the museum’s refined and cohesive identity.
